Parliament discusses bad language used by Team Anna: Highlights

New Delhi: Sharad Yadav of the Janta Dal (United) moved a resolution censuring the activists for calling parliamentarians rapists and murderers. Here are the highlights of what he said;

There is a trend of targeting politicians
We can take criticism
People should stay within their limits
This house has thrown out corrupt people
This house has also acted against its corrupt members
50% -60% of the money spent on elections goes to the media
There are problems which emanate within the society
The root causes have to be identified and addressed

The Parliament is an institution which should not be attacked in a manner that people lose faith in it.
