New Delhi: Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the day on Tuesday as opposition protests over Rahul Gandhi's disqualification as an MP continued with several leaders, dressed in black, raising slogans against the government.

No Proposal To Make Sanskrit Official Language: Centre To Lok SabhaThere is no proposal under consideration of the government to make Sanskrit communication and official language, Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra said in Lok Sabha.
The minister's written answer came in response to a question posed by BJP member Subrat Pathak, who asked whether the government proposes to make Sanskrit the communication and official language in addition to Hindi.
Parliament Completes Budgetary Exercise For FY24
Parliamentary approval for the Budget for 2023-24 was on Monday completed after Lok Sabha passed the Finance Bill with a fresh amendment and Rajya Sabha gave its nod to all the three related legislations without any debate amid continuing din over the Adani issue.
First Rajya Sabha approved the Rs 45 lakh-crore spending proposed in the Budget, followed by the nod to the Finance Bill that contains tax proposals. It also approved the Appropriation Bill and Demands for Grants, besides Budget for Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Bharatiya Janata Party's OBC MPs held a protest in front of the Gandhi statue at the Parliament premise, demanding an apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his 'Modi surname' remark.
The BJP has been demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi over his remark for which the Congress leader was convicted by a Surat court in a defamation case last week.

BRS Leaders Demand Approval Of Women's Reservation Bill
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MPs Nama Nageswara Rao and Kavitha Maloth moved an adjournment motion in the Parliament on Tuesday, demanding the tabling and passing of the Women's Reservation Bill.
The MPs in the adjournment motion also requested an all-party meeting to discuss the Bill.
In the notice issued to the Secretary-General of Lok Sabha, MLC Kavitha said, "I hereby, give notice of my intention to ask for leave to move a motion for the adjournment of the business of the House for the purpose of discussing a definite matter of urgent importance, namely, Take up discussion on the Demand to Pass Women's Reservation, Bill."
Congress MPs Give Notice To Discuss Rahul Gandhi's Disqualification
Congress MPs gave suspension of business notice and adjournment motion notice to the respective Houses of Parliament to discuss the Adani issue and Rahul Gandhi's disqualification as MP from Lok Sabha.
Congress MP Pramod Tiwari gave suspension of business notice under rule 267 in Rajya Sabha to discuss the "failure of Modi Govt to investigate opaque overseas investment of nearly Rs 20,000 Crores by offshore companies linked to the Adani's into Adani Group of companies."
Congress MP Manickam Tagore gave an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha to discuss the Adani Group issue and the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi.
BJP Parliamentary Party Meeting To Be Held Today
A parliamentary party meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is scheduled to be held on Tuesday in Parliament.
This will be the first meeting of the BJP to be held in the second phase of the budget session of Parliament.
The weekly meeting of the BJP in the Parliament takes place every Tuesday when the House is in function.
