New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking in parliament over unrelenting opposition chants targeting him over the Adani Group, said the "lotus (BJP's symbol) will bloom no matter how much mud you throw at us".
As PM Modi started his reply to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address, the Opposition MPs started raising slogans of "Modi-Adani bhai-bhai" in Rajya Sabha.
"The country carefully hears what is said in this House. Some MPs are bringing disrepute to this House," he said.
The debate on the motion of thanks to the President's Address in Rajya Sabha concluded on Wednesday. President Droupadi Murmu had addressed the joint sitting of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on January 31, the first day of the Budget Session.

Congress Never Tried To Solve Permanent Problems Of Country: PM Modi
Congress never tried to find solutions to the permanent problems, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
Addressing the Rajya Sabha, PM Modi said, "Mallikarjun Kharge said that Congress built a strong foundation in 60 years. In 2014, when I saw minute details, I saw that in 60 years, the Congress family has only built potholes on the path."
"Despite being in power from the Panchayat level to the Parliament they never, "thought or tried" to being solutions to permanent problems," he said.
He said that BJP's priority remains the common public, under which they made LPG connections available to 25 crore families in the country.
"We have transformed the working culture with the power of technology. Our focus is on increasing speed and enhancing scale," he said.

Tribals Deprived Of Development For Decades: PM Modi Attacks Congress In Rajya Sabha
If the Congress had worked with dedication for tribals, we wouldn't have to work so hard for their welfare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while replying to the Motion of Thanks to the President's address in Rajya Sabha.
"Instead of playing with the sentiments of the tribals, had they (Congress) done some work, we would not have had to work so hard," he said.
PM Modi said that the contribution of tribals in India's freedom struggle is written in golden letters. "But for decades our tribals remained deprived of development and the bridge of faith could never be built," he said attacking the Congress.
