Parliament will discuss the issue of price rise under a rule which does not entail voting, following the end of deadlock between the government and the Opposition that had rocked Parliament for the last two days.
The announcement was made by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal following an impromptu meeting between the two sides in which representatives of BJP, JDU, RJD, Left, BSP and other parties were present.
Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar will reply to the discussion in the Lok Sabha for which seven hours are being allocated.
Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will be intervening in the discussion. Government sources said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh could also intervene in the discussion given its importance.
