Parliament's ongoing Winter Session may end on Friday, a week ahead of schedule, sources said today. The decision, the sources said, was taken at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee, which manages the schedule of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Meanwhile, Chaos ensued in the Rajya Sabha as the Winter Session resumed today. The BJP members demanded an apology from Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge over his remarks against the ruling party, leading to a war of words. The Parliament has been witnessing Opposition protests over the latest India-China clashes in Arunachal Pradesh. The Opposition parties walked out of the Rajya Sabha yesterday, yet again, after their demands for a debate on Chinese incursion on the borders were rejected.

The Centre today informed Parliament that it has achieved integration of 1,260 wholesale mandis, located in 22 states and three union territories, with the electronic-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM). In his written reply to the Lok Sabha, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said: "As on November 30, 2022, 1,260 mandis of 22 States and 3 UTs have been integrated with e-NAM platform."

BJP Lok Sabha member Prataprao Patil today said the people of India are now confident that the Modi government would recover the land lost to China in the 1962 war. Speaking during the Zero Hour, he told Lok Sabha that Parliament passed a resolution on November 14, 1962 that India would recover the land, but could not achieve it in 60 years.

The Winter Session of the Parliament may end this Friday instead of December 29, said sources. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee, they said.
BJP MP Ravishankar Prasad raised the Bihar liquor tragedy in the Lok Sabha today. "There should be a human rights case over the liquor deaths in Bihar. No post-mortem was conducted. Even viscera was not preserved," said Mr Prasad.
