There have been rumours before linking Kumar Vishwas to the BJP, rubbished each time by the AAP leader.
New Delhi:
Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas is trending again after he spent his 46th birthday party on Wednesday surrounded by BJP leaders. Conspicuously missing was his party boss and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The guest list has resurrected speculation on whether AAP's often controversial poet-politician is headed to the BJP. Apart from BJP leaders like Om Mathur, Vijay Goel and Pankaj Singh, who is the son of union home minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval too attended the party in Delhi's Chanakyapuri.
From AAP Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and many lawmakers were present.
There have been rumours before linking Kumar Vishwas to the BJP, rubbished each time by the AAP leader, but it is the timing of the latest buzz that has drawn much attention. It comes just days before the Aam Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi celebrates one year in office.
This time too, Mr Vishwas took to Twitter to say that he was greeted by leaders from all parties but that hardly meant he was joining any of them.
A beaming Mr Kejriwal was seen in photographs helping Mr Vishwas cut the cake, and he had also remembered in his moment of victory to tweet birthday wishes for his party colleague.
Post Script: To support Mr Vishwas' vehement denial of a BJP bias, at least two Congress politicians Navin Jindal and Rajiv Shukla were also spotted at his birthday celebrations yesterday.

Last year, Kumar Vishwas had celebrated his birthday with AAP's spectacular win in the Delhi Assembly election. As results rolled in confirming that Arvind Kejriwal's party had swept 67 of Delhi's 70 seats, Kumar Vishwas had cut a cake at AAPs Patel Nagar office with Mr Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia on either side.

This year, Arvind Kejriwal's seven tweets (and retweets) on February 10 did not include birthday wishes for Mr Vishwas.Happy birthday @DrKumarVishwas God bless u
