Chennai:
A Colombo-bound Air Lanka flight from Chennai returned to the airport soon after take off on Friday after a passenger suffered a heart attack, airport sources said.
They said the passenger Rafi Ahmed (52) suffered a heart attack 10 minutes after the plane took off at 10.50 am, following which the pilot returned to Chennai airport. Doctors administered first aid and pronounced him fit to travel, after which the flight left for its onward destination at 11.30 am, they said.
The flight had 267 passengers on board, including 52 Haj pilgrims, they said.
