A patient was dragged and brutally assaulted at a rehabilitation centre near Bengaluru, prompting outrage and the arrest of the attackers.
CCTV visuals of the incident showed the patient being cornered in a room and then being beaten relentlessly with a stick by a man, while others watch. The man is dragged repeatedly. Soon, another man starts beating him with a stick.
The visuals are from a private rehabilitation facility, around 30 km from Bengaluru.
The incident took place earlier but the video has surfaced now, the police said. All involved have been arrested.
Photos linked to the same facility show some involved persons involved in the assault celebrating a birthday and cutting a cake using a dagger.
Police acted on the viral video and registered a case, including charges under the Arms Act.
