Patna University authorities have come down heavily on 12 students of the city's B N College for creating a ruckus in the college campus about a week ago.
These students have been rusticated from the college for a period of one year.
The student's had smashed college furniture and assaulted two faculty members, because they were angry over the suspension of one of their friends from the college's geology department.
An enquiry into the incident is yet to be completed, but the authorities say they have taken action to curb these kind of incidents in the Patna University campus.
Over the last two months, five such incidents of ruckus by students in various colleges affiliated to the university have come to light.
