Patna:
The Patna-Ranchi National Highway is on fire. For the fast few days, a section of the road between Hazaribagh and Ramgarh has been closed by the administration because of fires raging around it, in abandoned underground coal mines.
But now, that fire has spread to the middle of the road with flames virtually leaping out of the road.
The traffic going to Ranchi is being diverted through State Highway. The government has said that they will have to build a permanent detour to the damaged section of the highway.
The detour will be constructed in at least a month. Till that time, travel to Ranchi will take 14 hours from Patna, instead of the usual 10.
