New Delhi: There is a renewed threat perception to the life of Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate and Leader of Opposition Lal Krishna Advani.
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram met L K Advani on Thursday morning to discuss his security.
Advani currently enjoys almost the same level of security as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. His security was upgraded when he was the Deputy Prime Minister.
The Home Minister's meeting with Advani comes amid reports that the securities of 39 other VVIPs are being reviewed.
The other VVIPs include Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh, Mayawati, Jayalalithaa, Chandrababu Naidu, Omar Abdullah and Mulayam Singh.
