Peerbhoy's confessions

In the 20-page confessional statement made to police and read out in a Mumbai courtroom on Thursday, Peerbhoy said:

<uL<li>He learnt to hack in 2007 on the insistence of Riyaz Bhatkal one of the co-founders of the Indian Mujahideen.

<li>On July 26 Peerbhoy claims, Iqbal told him to send out the email warning of serial blasts in Gujarat at 6.40 pm. Five minutes before the bombs went off in Ahmedabad.

<li>Peerbhoy says he used the wi-fi network of American professional Ken Haywood in Navi Mumbai to send the mail to the government and to media houses.

<li>A week after the Gujarat blast, Peerbhoy sent another mail, this time to tell the Gujarat and the Mumbai Police they had arrested the wrong people.

<li>Three months later on September 11, Peerbhoy says he was told by Iqbal Bhatkal to keep an email ready, this time a five minutes warning to the Delhi blasts. The mail was sent on September 13 at 6.26pm, this time from Chembur area.
