Gulam Nabi Khoja was shot at outside his residence at Kralgund in Handwara tehsil.
A worker of the Jammu and Kashmir's ruling coalition partner, People's Conference, was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district today.
"Gulam Nabi Khoja was shot at outside his residence at Kralgund in Handwara tehsil today (Wednesday) evening. He was shifted to hospital in a serious condition where he succumbed," a police official said.
The party is headed by Sajad Lone who is a minister in the People's Democratic Party-Bharatiya Janata Party government. Mr Lone represents the Handwara constituency in the state assembly.
