Jaipur: Petrol pump and gas agency owners in Rajasthan will go on a 24-hour strike from midnight tomorrow to protest the state government's decision to raise security deposits for the license of petrol pump and gas agency.
"3,000 petrol pumps and 400 gas agencies will take part in the strike," said Sunit Bagai who represents the Petrol Pump Dealers' Association.
He said the government had decided to increase security deposits from Rs 1,000 to Rs. 50,000 for petrol pump license and from Rs 1,000 to Rs 25,000 for gas agency.
