Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged people to donate organs, and said it was the most vital donation one could think of.
"Organ donation can save valuable lives... I urge people to ... make donations," PM Modi said in his 'Mann Ki Baat' radio address to the nation.
"What could be a bigger donation than this?" PM Modi asked.
He said on November 27 - the International Organ Donation Day - many people, including dignitaries, participated in large numbers to advocate donation of organs.
"When an organ is transplanted in another (human) body, not only does the organ get a new life but also the body," he added.
"Organ donation can save valuable lives... I urge people to ... make donations," PM Modi said in his 'Mann Ki Baat' radio address to the nation.
