New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed grief over the bus accident in Jammu and Kashmir in which at least 21 passengers were killed.
"Disturbing news from J&K (Jammu and Kashmir). Bus accident in Udhampur has saddened me. My thoughts are with families of the deceased. Prayers with the injured," PM Modi said in a tweet. "I have asked my ministerial colleague Dr. Jitendra Singh ji to stay in touch with authorities & ensure timely assistance," he said in another tweet. At least 21 people were killed and six others were critically injured on Monday when a passenger bus rolled into a deep gorge at Marothi in the state's Udhampur district.
