PM Modi On Rafale: Will Sort Out Financial Aspects Soon : Highlights

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, French President Francois Hollande are issuing a joint statement in Delhi.

• India and France have signed 13 agreements.

• Tomorrow we shall be welcoming a French leader for the 5th time.
• French troops shall march shoulder to shoulder along with Indian troops.
• It was 18 years ago when we signed a strategic partnership with France.
• On Rafale jets he said, except for the financial aspects, we have an inter governmental agreement on the 36 jets. We will resolve the financial aspects soon.
• Paris to Pathankot are challenges for us. Terrorism is against humanity. To fight this, we have to unite.
• At the COP 21, thanks to your leadership an agreement was signed. This has allowed us to establish a new environmental framework.
• I invite French businessmen to invest in India. India and France are committed to a secure and successful future

• This is witness to outstanding relations between India and France
• I am proud to celebrate with you the birth anniversary of your Constitution
• This is a new chapter in our strategic partnership which was launched in 1988
• We are working on deal, these same jets are fighting ISIS. There remain some financial issues that will be sorted out in a couple of days
