New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tribute to late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his 84th birth anniversary.
"Salutations to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary", Prime Minister Modi said in an official release.
PM Modi will also unveil a statue of the former President and inaugurate a photo exhibition in the capital as part of Kalam's birth anniversary celebrations.
Before becoming the President, Abdul Kalam had spent four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
