New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that he would attend the second International Yoga Day programme at Chandigarh.
"On June 21, International Day of Yoga, I will join a programme in Chandigarh to practice yoga with them," he said in his radio address 'Mann Ki Baat'.
He stressed that prevention was better than cure and "Yoga Day is not merely an event, it inspires to include it in our daily routine for 20-30 minutes."
"Poor families have to spend too much for health issues. But there is no cost involved in being healthy," PM Modi added.
The International Yoga Day was declared to be internationally recognised by the UN General Assembly (UNGA) on December 11, 2014.
