Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, Hiraba, was taken to hospital after she complained of chest pain, but was sent back home after her test results were normal, hospital officials said today.
Hiraba (95) lives with PM Modi's younger brother Pankaj Modi at Raison village near Gandhinagar. She was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Gandhinagar on Wednesday after she complained of chest pain.
"She developed breathing problem following which she was rushed here on Wednesday. Our physicians conducted some routine checks, such as X-ray, blood pressure check and ECG," said civil hospital superintendent Dr Bipin Nayak.
As all the tests were normal, she was sent back home within hours, Mr Nayak added.
