While the BJP will celebrate Prime Minister Modi's birthday as Sewa Divas today, party chief Amit Shah will take part in a cleanliness drive in Telangana to mark the day.
Union Ministers and party MPs will also travel to different parts of the country and spend time with the poor and underprivileged section of the society.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will announce projects worth nearly Rs. 3,800 crore at Limkheda in Dahod district of Gujarat. The programme has been organised under the Gujarat Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojna for the districts lying in the state's forest belt. The projects include six water supply and four lift irrigation projects.

In the meanwhile, Gujarat Dalit rights leader Jignesh Mevani was detained by the Gujarat police from Ahmedabad airport on Friday night, hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed for a two-day state visit as part of his birthday celebrations.
Jignesh Mewani has been kept at the crime branch office and police say he would be let out shortly. Officials said his detention was to prevent any disruption in the Prime Minister's events.

This is PM Modi's second visit to home state in less than 20 days at a time when the BJP government was grappling with Patidar and Dalit agitation in the state. The Prime Minister will then inaugurate an irrigation project and address a rally of tribals in Limkheda in Central Gujarat and late afternoon attends a programme to disburse hearing aids to over 1,000 beneficiaries in Navsari town of south Gujarat.
