India on Thursday extended a fresh $750-million credit line to Nepal for post-earthquake reconstruction. This was among three agreements signed following delegation-level talks chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prachanda in Delhi. The two sides also signed a memorandum of agreement (MoU) for project management consultancy services for upgrading and improving the road infrastructure in Nepal's Terai area.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a long day planned on his birthday. After meeting his mother, he is now headed to Raj Bhawan to meet Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and his cabinet members. The Prime Minister will then inaugurate an irrigation project and address a rally of tribals in Limkheda in Central Gujarat and late afternoon attends a programme to disburse hearing aids to over 1,000 beneficiaries in Navsari town of south Gujarat.
