New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shifted to his official residence in Delhi's Race Course Road.
He had been for many days camping at the Gujarat Bhawan, about a kilometre away.
The PM's official residence was vacated by Mr Modi's predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh on Monday evening soon after the former was sworn in. (Manmohan Singh Checks in at New Residence)
Sources had said then that Mr Modi would shift only after some refurbishment was done. Mr Modi will occupy 5, Race Course Road, as his residence unlike Mr Singh who lived in the 7, Race Course Road bungalow as his residence, the sources said.
Mr Singh had used 5 Race Course Road as his office.
The Prime Minister's official residence is spread over five bungalows - 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9, Race Course Road - in the heart of Delhi.
