New Delhi:
Prime minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi are likely to be present on the second day of Youth Congress meet. Rahul Gandhi addressed the newly-elected Youth Congress leaders at the first-ever convention of the body in the national capital on Monday.
The rally has been named
Buniyad.
The Congress General Secretary inaugurated the convention of the 8,000-odd elected members from across the country.
On Monday, holding that the "biggest corruption" is within the country's political system, Mr Gandhi asked the youth to enter politics and help snuff out the scourge.
"People talk about corruption. The biggest corruption is in our political system. If we don't bring in change in the political system, we can't fight corruption. The only way to change it is by bringing in new youths into it," Mr Gandhi said while addressing the national convention of the elected office-bearers of the Youth Congress.
"Go and fight against corruption, go to the villages, hold their hands and try to understand their problems and bring in a change in this country," Mr Gandhi said.
Home Minister P Chidambaram attended Monday's meet.
