New Delhi:
Breaking his silence on the crisis in Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will make a televised speech on violence in the state at 6pm today.
This comes on a day when a delegation of parties from Jammu and Kashmir, led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and National Conference chief Farooq Abullah, will meet the Prime Minister in Delhi. The main Opposition, PDP, will however not attend the meeting.
The National Conference, say sources, will stress on measures like initiating a political dialogue, autonomy, and jobs for the youth.
The Valley witnessed intense protests over civilian killings in the last two months and curfew had to be imposed in many districts.
