Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted Shubho Nabo Barsho on Bengali New Year Poila Boisakh today. "My heartfelt greetings to Bengalis in India and acoss the world...," PM Modi posted on Twitter. The Bengali year 1428 begins on Pohela Boishakh 2021. Poila Boisakh or Pohela Boishakh is the first day of the month of Boishakh in the Bengali calendar. The Prime Minister also posted a montage of the iconic structures of West Bengal and images from his campaigns in the state voting for the Assembly elections. Union Home Minister Amit Shah wished happiness, peace and prosperity on Poila Boishakh.
