New Delhi:
Aam Aadmi Party legislator Vinod Kumar Binny today fired many allegations against his party and its chief Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of "lying to" and "cheating" the people of Delhi by backtracking on election promises and deviating from core principles. Party leader Yogendra Yadav held a press conference to address these allegations.
Here are the highlights of his presser:
Here are the highlights of his presser:
- What Binny has said its shocking
- Binny spoke as if he was reading out the notes of the BJP
- When all the MLAs sat down for discussion, Binny didn't say a word
- It's very disappointing that Binny has questioned the integrity of our party driven by personal ambitions
- The whole country is looking towards AAP with hope. To bring up personal grudges and grievances is unfortunate
- We had hopes that the internal forums of the party will resolve all these issues
- We are left with no option but to take disciplinary action - we'll send a show cause notice.
- The final decision rests with the political affairs committee.
- Scope for divergence of view but not indiscipline
- Whatever Binny read was scripted by BJP
- The committee for selecting candidates is meeting today
- If someone knows the names of candidates who'd be selected, please share it with me
- I appeal to all AAP workers to make efforts like Kumar Vishwas has started
- With hope comes expectations and occasional sense of frustration
- If people have a reasonable sense of time frame, that would help.. what we forget that this government isn't even one month old
- On referendum: AAP committed to seeking people's opinion on every critical issue. If we are in a dilemma on something which our manifesto doesn't make a promise, of course we'll go back to people
- On Capt Gopinath: AAP has 1.5 million members today - extraordinary to assume all AAP members think alike
- On corruption charges against Sheila Dikshit: Process is being followed, if we do it hastily you will call us vindictive
- If he (Binny) is being so open about back channel talks, why can't he be clear, give details? Who was talking to who?
- If Kejriwal said no MLA should contest, it could have been because we have 28 MLAs. How will we function in the assembly? That would have been the only reason
Sanjay Singh: - Anday, danday, gunday BJP aur Congress humaare khilaaf istemal kar rahi hain.
