Berahampore: With BJP president Nitin Gadkari refusing to take back his Afzal Guru 'son-in-law of Congress' remark, Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has said, some decency was expected in comments by political leaders.(Video Special: Congress, BJP in ugly war of words)
"While making comments on an issue, political leaders should maintain decency," Mukherjee said on Sunday. However, he did not name Gadkari who, at a BJP rally in Dehradun on July 8, had taunted whether the Parliament attack death row convict was the son-in-law of Congress and repeated it here on Sunday.
Congress had earlier said that Gadkari has lost his mind and that it proved he was not mature to be the president of a national party.
