New Delhi: With Congress veteran Jagdish Tytler, who got a clean chit by CBI in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, pitted against a BJP stalwart marking his return to politics after 12 years, the Lok Sabha contest in the newly carved north-east Delhi constituency promises to be a pot boiler.

But BJP's two-time MP B L Sharma, who had earlier defeated Congress stalwarts like H K L Bhagat and Deep Chand Bandhu in 1991 and 1996 by impressive margins, hopes to complete his return to politics with a landmark win.
The Northeast parliamentary constituency has been carved out from the erstwhile East Delhi seat -- home to the predominantly unauthorised colonies that witnessed a lot of upsurge during the sealing process.
