Union minister Giriraj Singh has been declared "missing" in his constituency in Bihar.
Posters have come up in the BJP lawmaker's Nawada constituency accusing him of ignoring the region after winning the national election last year.
The "missing" posters surfaced at different places in the area's Barbigha town on Thursday, a district police official said.
"Even after one and a half years, Giriraj Singh has not utilised the funds from his Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme for developmental work in Barbigha," the posters said.
A local resident, Dhananjay Singh, claimed that many people in Barbigha supported the posters and were angry with Mr Singh.
The posters also listed problems faced by people. Mr Singh has often been in the news for his controversial statements.
