Prabhakaran's mother rejects India's offer for conditional visa

New Delhi: Slain Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) leader Prabhakaran's mother Parvathi Ammal has rejected India's offer for conditional visa to visit Tamil Nadu for for her treatment.

According to reports, Parvathi Ammal, accompanied by former MP Sivajilingam, arrived in Colombo on Monday night.

The central Government had allowed Parvathi Ammal to visit Tamil Nadu for medical treatment on certain conditions.  This was conveyed by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi earlier in the day. (Read: Centre allows Prabhakaran's mother to visit Tamil Nadu for treatment)

The Union Government's decision was conveyed through a letter to the Indian Mission in Kuala Lumpur where she was staying at present.

The state government had written to the Union Home Secretary to consider allowing Parvathi for treatment provided certain conditions were met.
