The Opposition attacked the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister for failing to control inflation.The BJP also described Finance Minister's speech on the issue as unsatisfactory.
Mukherjee visibly lost his cool when members of the Shiv Sena and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) protested in the Lok Sabha over the Babhli dam dispute."The House cannot be held to ransom", said an agitated Mukherjee, Pranab lost his cool in Lok Sabha after TDP members of parliament trooped to the Well of the Lok Sabha. Under construction near the Andhra-Maharashtra border, the Babhli dam has turned into a controversy because Andhra Pradesh believes it will give Maharashtra an unfair amount of water from the River Godavri.
