Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said that there is no policy paralysis within the government. Mr Mukherjee was speaking in the Rajya Sabha.
Mr Mukherjee attributed the weakness in the Indian economy to the global recession. "Recession in Europe is a real threat to the global economic stability," Mr Mukherjee said, adding that India cannot remain isolated from global developments.
Mr Mukherjee's comment came in the back drop of a series of negative economic indicators that has dented the investor confidence and hurt India's image as one of the fastest growing economies.
