New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee today felicitated the government and people of the republic of Angola on their National Day on Wednesday.
Mr Mukherjee extended "warm greetings and felicitations" to Angola in a message to its President Jose Eduardo Dos Santos.
He said India and Angola have traditionally enjoyed warm and friendly relations.
"The economic content of our engagement has increased substantially in recent years. Angola is now India's second largest source for crude oil imports from Africa," Mr Mukherjee said.
"We look forward to sustained high level contacts with Angola with a view to further widen our expanding bilateral engagement."
