New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee today extended his greetings to the people of Mauritania on the eve of their National Day.
"It gives me great pleasure to convey to you, to the government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day," President Mukherjee said in a message to his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.

"Bilateral relations between India and Mauritania are marked by warmth and goodwill," President Mukherjee said.
"We look forward to working closely with your government to further strengthen our ongoing partnership in areas of capacity building, infrastructure development and skill upgradation," he added.
