"It is with great pleasure that I extend warm greetings and felicitation to your majesty and people of Sweden on the occasion of your National Day," the president said in a message to King Carl XVI Gustaf.
Thanking the king and the queen for the "gracious hospitality" extended to him during his recent visit, Mr Mukherjee reiterated the invitation to them to visit India.
Relations between India and Sweden were based on the strong bedrock of shared democratic values, Mr Mukherjee said.
