Patna: President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted Union Food and Consumers Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan who turned 69 today.
As President Pranab Mukherjee extended greetings to Mr Paswan, the Prime Minister tweeted "Birthday greetings to my colleague Shri Ramvilas Paswan. May he live long & always remain in good health."
An overwhelmed Mr Paswan said in a post "My heartfelt thanks to the Hon'ble President and Hon'ble Prime Minister of India for their warm wishes on my birthday."
Mr Paswan cut a 69-pound cake at the state LJP office in the presence of his family members and leaders and workers of his parties and party allies - BJP and HAM (Secular).
In Patna, senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi, former Chief Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) (Secular) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi and other leaders greeted Mr Paswan with bouquets.
Mr Paswan also tweeted, "My special thanks to my colleagues, people of my constituency and all my well-wishers for wishing me on my birthday."
