President, Prime Minister to visit Andhra Pradesh in September

Hyderabad: President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Andhra Pradesh separately on September 8 and 9.

While the President is coming for darshan of Lord Venkateswara atop Tirumala Hills, the Prime Minister will witness the launch of PSLV C-21 which will be the 100th mission of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Official sources in Hyderabad said that the President would arrive in Tirupati from Chennai on the afternoon of September 8 and proceed to Tirumala Hills. After a night halt on the hill, Mr Mukherjee will worship Lord Venkateswara on September 9 morning. He will leave for New Delhi that afternoon, the sources added.

Manmohan Singh will arrive at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota on September 8 for a night halt. On September 9 morning, he will witness the launch of PSLV C-21 that will put a satellite each from France and Japan, besides a small Indian payload, into orbit.

The Prime Minister will leave for New Delhi after the launch, he added.
