President Pranab Mukherjee will attend a function in Lucknow on Tuesday to mark the completion of 125 years of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature.
Mr Mukherjee, who will reach Lucknow on Tuesday at noon, will address a gathering of UP legislators in Vidhan Sabha building to mark the occasion.
A memento specially designed along with a commemorative stamp and coin are also likely to be released on the occasion.
A three-day programme has been planned during which a special sitting of the legislature will be held.
The state legislature was constituted on January 8, 1887 under the Indian Council Act of 1861. Other programmes to mark the occasion include an exhibition depicting its rich history besides other cultural programmes.
