Around 1,000-odd households located within the sprawling 330 acres of President's Estate will enjoy 100 per cent wireless Internet facility from tomorrow.
The facility will be inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee tomorrow at a function where Union Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will also be present.
With the inauguration, 24 'Hot Spots' with 30 Wi-Fi access points will be operational within the premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan estate.
The facility has been set up in order to provide Internet services free or at nominal charges to all residents of President's Estate.
There are around 1000 households in the estate with a total population of nearly 5000. These include those working in the Presidential palace including security and army personnel on duty.
