New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted the people of Telangana on the occasion of the first anniversary of the founding of their state.
Telangana was formed as India's 29th state on June 2 last year after it was carved out of Andhra Pradesh.
"My best wishes to the people of Telangana on the occasion of their Statehood Day. My best wishes for the state's development journey," he said in a message.
He also wished the people of Andhra Pradesh, saying: "Greetings and good wishes to my sisters and brothers of Andhra Pradesh in the development journey of this hardworking state."
