Prime Minister Narendra Modi Likely to Visit Varanasi on July 16

Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had to cancel his scheduled trip to his parliamentary constituency on June 28 due to heavy rainfall, is now likely to visit on July 16.

Union Minister of Tourism Mahesh Sharma, who is in Varanasi to attend a special sit-in at the Prime Minister's parliamentary office to hear public grievances, said that "PM Modi is likely to visit Varanasi on July 16".

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate a Trauma Centre at Banaras Hindu University and launch the Integrated Power Development scheme.

Apart from this, he will lay the foundation stone for a ring road project, give the go-ahead for the four laning of a road, and also address a rally.

An official at the Additional District Magistrate (protocol) office said that they have received an intimation that the Prime Minister may visit Varanasi on July 16.
