New Delhi: After this week's terror attack at the Delhi High Court, the Prime Minister has asked for security to be increased immediately at the Supreme Court, which is just around the corner. Dr Manmohan Singh has asked Home Minister P Chidambaram and Law Minister Salman Khursheed to meet with the Chief Justice of India, SH Kapadia.
13 people were killed and more than 70 injured in Wednesday's explosion caused by a bomb in a briefcase placed at the busy Gate No 5 entrance to the Delhi High Court.
An email received by NDTV and another TV channel on Wednesday evening warned of another attack on the Supreme Court soon if the death sentence for Afzal Guru is not commuted. Mr Guru has been convicted for his role in the attack on the Indian Parliament in 2001.
