Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday expressed deep sorrow and shock at the death of pilgrims in a temple stampede in Madhya Pradesh.
"The prime minister extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the incident and asked the administration to provide medical assistance to the injured," said a statement.
