Ludhiana:
There is tension in Ludhiana and several areas have been put under curfew after migrant labourers launched a violent protest on Friday against police inaction on a complaint.
The labourers torched more than six vehicles in the city, pelted stones and jammed the national highway. They also blocked railway tracks, disrupting rail traffic between Ludhiana and Amritsar.
Indefinite curfew has been imposed under five police station areas of Ludhiana - Focal Point, Shimla Puri, Division No. 7, Division No. 6 and Sanewal
The labourers have alleged that the police did not take action against some local after they complained against him.
