Patna: There is public outrage in Patna after the news of a 7-year-old boy's kidnapping and killing spread. The boy was kidnapped on May 28 and a day after his body was found.

The heinous crime was allegedly committed by his neighbours, two teenagers, both of whom have been arrested after they confessed to the crime. The two accused had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.

PTI adds: Satyam, a class IV student of Doon Academy in Kankarbagh locality, was last sighted playing near his house in the People's Cooperative colony in the same area on Thursday evening.

His body was recovered from a house in adjoining Ashok Nagar this morning on the basis of confessional statement of two suspects, Superintendent of Police (City) Anwar Hussain said.

Hussain said two persons --a grocery shop owner Avinash and a youth Monu, neighbours of the victim, were arrested on suspicion following which they revealed their involvement in the crime.
