Mumbai: The shadow of a scam still hangs over Mumbai builders Hiranandani brothers.
The CBI has alleged that real estate developers, Niranjan and Surendra Hiranandani, were involved in a 9 crore provident fund scam.
The agency issued a look-out notice against the two and told a Mumbai court on Friday that Surendra Hiranandani was absconding.
Niranjan Hirandandani bail plea comes for hearing in the court today.
Earlier, the CBI had raided the offices of Hiranandani Group in March 2008 and demanded their custody.
In their defence, the Hiranandanis say the employees whose provident fund was not deposited were hired by a contractor and hence they are not responsible.
