MCD Elections 2017: Sanjay Singh led the Aam Aadmi Party's failed campaign in Punjab earlier this year.
New Delhi:
In a rash of resignations after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s latest election defeat, in the Delhi civic polls, top leader Sanjay Singh has quit as the Punjab in-charge.
"I have handed my resignation to Arvind Kejriwal," Mr Singh said this morning. Another leader, Durgesh Pathak, has also resigned as co-observer in Punjab.
The resignations come a day after AAP placed a poor second in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi election held on Sunday, trailing far behind the BJP. Weeks ago, the party was also humiliated in its election debuts in Punjab and Goa.
