Punjab, Haryana Get Respite From Cold, Minimum Temp Stays Above Normal

Chandigarh: Minimum temperatures today hovered between one to four notches above normal limits in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.

In the plains, Amritsar was the coldest place with a low of 4.6 degrees celsius, two notches above normal, the MeT office said here.

While Ludhiana settled at a low of 7.2 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal, the minimum temperature at Narnaul was 7.3 degrees celsius, two notches above normal.

Among other places, Chandigarh had a low of 7.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal followed by eight degrees celsius at Karnal, one notch above normal; 8.2 degrees Celsius at Hisar, two notches above normal; 10.2 degrees Celsius each at Ambala and Patiala, both four notches above normal.

The MeT forecast foggy conditions at isolated places in both Punjab and Haryana in the morning during the next 24 hours.
