Qasab laughs during trial; judge irked
Mumbai: Ajmal Amir Qasab once again openly mocked the proceedings at the 26/11 trial, that too when the prosecution produced key evidence against him -- the AK-47 he used in his killing spree.

When the first eyewitness identified Qasab's AK-47, Qasab broke into a smile and without a care, began giggling. Judge Tahiliyani - who does not suffer fools - was shocked and angry and screamed at him.

"What is the matter? Why are you laughing? Stop it. The court is in progress. Stop looking at the reporters without any reason. Stop this drama," the judge said.

After the scolding from the judge, a nervous Qasab but said nothing and sat down.

However, this isn't the first time Qasab has made light of the trial. The judge had once caught him casually talking to co accused Fahim Ansari.

On another occasion, Qasab even demanded a perfume. But his lawyer played down his behaviour.

Qasab is already facing widespread public anger, a sentiment this kind of behaviour will only worsen.
