New Delhi:
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who arrived in New Delhi on Friday on a three-day visit, cut short his trip and returned home by an Indian Air Force plane because of death of his mother-in-law.
In view of the urgency, the Indian government, in a special gesture, provided an Indian Air Force plane to fly Qureshi back home.
The Pakistan Minister was scheduled to meet former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha L K Advani, Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh and Left leaders on Saturday.
He will also miss a visit to Nizamuddin Dargah in New Delhi as well as Ajmer Dargah where he was slated to travel on Sunday.
Qureshi met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh besides holding detailed talks with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
